For the magical setting of the Grand Island Mansion to the perfectly pristine moody, jewel-colored florals and linens.  This wedding redefines what it means to get married at an estate.  Annie and Troy had met six years ago through a dating app.  Of the many men and women with whom the algorithm could have matched, they got paired together and little did they know, the rest would be history!

Their September wedding was gorgeous and more importantly, overflowing with love and joy.  All we could see were large grins, tight hugs, and laughter among their family and friends as they made their way to the mansion.  The skies were clear with the sun shining over the stunning ceremony site at the Grand Island Mansion pillars.  Guests were admiring the sheer opulence of the breath-taking estate as they approached the entryway doors.  A seating chart full of Annie and Troy’s pictures was placed in the foyer along with a guestbook of their engagement photos for their guests to write love notes and best wishes to the newlyweds.  

The couple was looking for a romantic, grand, and vintage setting which made the Grand Island Mansion the perfect venue for their wedding.  The florals were dark, moody, and jewel-colored which harmonized with their romantic vintage theme.  From the deep navy blue linens to the pops of fuchsia, violet, and burgundy roses.  Every shade played beautifully with the others.  Annie wore a stunning off-the-shoulder Allure wedding dress and a long, cathedral length veil edged with a lace appliqué finish that complimented the gown seamlessly.  Troy was looking dapper in a navy blue suit paired with a dark crimson boutonnière, perfectly styled for the mansion setting.  

We personally love when couples integrate unique ideas or unconventional traditions into their wedding.  It’s what makes your wedding yours; something that no one else can replicate.  A little “wow” factor is always a wonderful idea if it’s something you both are thrilled to include in your wedding!  It’s your day and your once in a lifetime moment after all!  Troy had such a fun idea to dance down the aisle with his father to “Hillbilly Neighbor” by Bezz Believe which was such a lively, unexpected moment that put a smile on everyone’s faces!  We love that this was completely on par with their playful personalities which makes this moment incredibly special and stand out.  

As wedding planners, it is so important to us that all of Annie and Troy’s wedding items and décor are set up perfectly prior to the wedding.  We ensured every item went where they were supposed to go and were ready well before the guests’ arrival.  A lot of collaboration with the florist, Elena, and her team was necessary to make sure the ceremony and reception sites were immaculate and covered with florals and candles.  After dinner, cake, and dancing all the beautiful floral stands, seating arrangements, candles, and toasting glasses, etc. had to come down.  With all our couples, we devise a plan and discuss where all these items go before your wedding day so there are no surprises.  It is one of many prime discussions we have during the wedding planning process.  

Annie and Troy’s wedding was a hit and the guests had an amazing time.  We were showered with compliments at the end of the night which we absolutely love; it always makes our day!  The couple was such a joy to work with before, during, and even after the wedding.  We couldn’t be more thankful that our paths crossed and were so humbled to be a part of their wedding day!
